Business without language barriers
My work uses language to bring people closer together. All too often parties that could achieve a great deal through cooperation find themselves divided by mutual misunderstanding. Important nuances get “lost in translation”. When entrepreneurs are at cross purposes with one another because they simply don’t understand these nuances, they are unlikely to reach any fruitful form of cooperation. And if they cannot understand one another, no business at all will get done.
That is why I am passionate about being an interpreter, whenever and wherever I can. So that language barriers can be eliminated and international entrepreneurs can focus on what they do best.
Enthusiastic, experienced and well educated
Enthusiasm is my trademark, and this is a major asset in my dealings with your guests. I have 25 years of experience as an interpreter and translator. Not all interpreters have the same level of education and training. I am registered at the WBTV-quality register and I am a member of the Dutch Association of Interpreters and Translators, an organisation that admits only those interpreters who are professionally trained and have enough experience to deliver a high quality performance.
I have completed courses at recognized, highly respected institutions in the Netherlands and abroad in order to hone my skills as an interpreter:
- Court Interpreter at SIGV (Stichting Instituut Gerechtstolken & Vertalers), the official training centre for court interpreters and translators
- Interpreting and Translation (Dutch-German, German-Dutch) at the University of Utrecht
- Conference Interpreting at CCIC (Cambridge Conference Interpretation Course)
- English Interpreter at ITV School of Translation and Interpretation in Utrecht
- Dutch Law at the University of Leiden
